The quartz glass shelf allows for complete coverage due to its unique ability of allowing UV-C to penetrate, unlike most other materials often seen such as wire, plastic or traditional glass. The chamber produces an efficient UV-C output intensity of approximately 1100 µw/cm2 achieving a 99.99% kill of spores like C. diff and a greater than 99.99% kill of bacteria such as MRSA and Hepatitis in 30 seconds on all visible surfaces.
